Week 13&14: Presentation
Our Final Collection
Thoughts
I also learnt a great deal from the other groups that presented these two weeks. I especially enjoyed the groups that presented on sculptures (Manfred's group) and urban decay (Qian Yu's group). I thought that they had really realistic and interesting concepts, and it gave me a lot of inspiration as well.
I also learnt a lot from the way the groups presented as well - how they did their research and the way they presented their collection and flats.
The designs they presented really impressed me as well, which motivated me to become even more creative with my own designs.
Matroyshka Dolls Inspired
My designs for A/W Streetwear
Each day brings forth a new winter, one that haunts and lingers. Not for this collection. Designed with practicality, this is for the new women, who are athletic and always on the move. Classic denim and flannel turtlenecks are paired slickly in an ensemble that both exudes confidence and protects from the long harsh winter. The basic jeans is reinvented in a quirky manner with fur patches and strips of rich floral embroidery, always ready to welcome the vibrant new season.

Reflections
Although there were some regretful parts during the presentation, it was a great learning experience nonetheless. Most of my groupmates were very enthusiastic throughout the entire process and it was a fun journey. After looking at the other's group presentation and designs, I wondered if I could have done better.

Weekly Observations
Top with Gathered Sleeve with Knob detail and Ribbon tie closing at center back
(Taken @ Zara @ MBS)
I felt that the separate sleeves made the garment look more edgy. I did not appreciate the ribbon tie at the back, as I felt it ruined the whole look. Instead, I would have opted for a clean zipper finish at the center back or maybe I would have re-used the knobs at the sleeve as buttons for the back.
